New alarm archive, scenario context information & automatic termination of alarms
Video: safeREACH update in March 2025
With the latest update in March 2025, we are making the use of safeREACH even clearer and more flexible. This applies to the user interface of the mobile apps for Android and iOS as well as the functions in the cockpit and admin interface.
The focus is on:

New app archive & new home screen: Easily trigger, find and filter alarms
The alarm history within the mobile apps has been fundamentally revised and structured more clearly. The aim was to create a better separation between current processes and alarms that have already been completed.
- The app interface has been divided into two separate areas: Home and Archive.
- The redesigned home page shows current and ongoing scenarios, as well as all alarms and info messages from the last 24 hours.
- The new archive shows completed alarms in a separate, tidy overview.
- Filter options are now available to search for specific alarms - e.g. by time period, name or status.
- A new trigger button is permanently visible to all authorised users and allows a scenario to be started independently of the current app area.
These improvements help to keep track of past incidents, even when looking back.

Context information for scenarios: More transparency before triggering
You can now store additional information for each scenario that is visible to all participants before it is triggered. This allows you to clearly define when the scenario should be used and for which use cases it is best suited.
- This information is displayed in the Cockpit directly next to the trigger button as an information symbol.
- This information is also visible in the mobile apps so that all triggers can recognise in advance what the scenario is about.
- A new input field for context information has been added to the scenario configuration page in the admin interface.
This allows scenarios to be labelled more clearly and avoids misunderstandings.

Automatic termination of scenarios: More flexible and more targeted control
The automatic termination of scenarios can now also be customised. Instead of having to make a selection as before as to whether alarms are ended manually or automatically, a selection no longer needs to be made.
Alarms are definitely terminated automatically after a selected period of time or can be closed manually beforehand. This has changed for automatic termination:
- By default, an alarm is now terminated automatically after 7 days. This time period can be customised - in minutes, hours or days.
- Optionally, the scenario can be set to be terminated immediately as soon as all recipients have sent a response.
- Another new feature is the option to send a termination message to all participants when the scenario is automatically terminated.
- This message can be sent either loudly as an alarm or quietly as information.
These new options ensure that alarms are ended automatically after a certain time and do not remain active permanently.

Welcome message via SMS for new users
If a new user is added to a safeREACH account, a welcome message can optionally be sent to them automatically via SMS. The message contains a note and a link to download the safeREACH mobile App.
The feature is deactivated by default and must be actively switched on in the settings. It supports fast and smooth onboarding, especially in time-critical situations where the app needs to be ready for use immediately.
Where can this feature be activated?
Sending a welcome SMS for new recipients can be activated in the admin interface.
- To do this, simply log in to the Admin Interface and open the account settings via the gear icon in the navigation bar
- Scroll down to the ‘Global settings’ section. Under the heading ‘General settings’, tick the checkbox ‘Automatically inform newly added recipients via SMS’. Click on Save.
- From now on, newly added recipients will receive a welcome SMS when they are added.
